OSLC4NET within an AUTOSAR development

Hello,

I am interested in finding out, if and how it could be possible to develop a simple OSLC solution for an AUTOSAR development process, especially with OSLC4NET. Unfortunately, I didn´t find anything on that subject yet.

Basically in a first time only two tools have to be linked. One is acting on a ARXML file and the other on a XML-like file.

I would like to know:

1) If it is possible to develop a simple demonstrator based on the stockquote-example (http://oslc4net.codeplex.com/documentation ) for the above-mentioned purpose?

2) If it is, am I right, that there is a kind of simplification towards OSLC in this case, for example regarding OSLC ResourceShapes, because AUTOSAR-tools with the ARXML use a standardized data-representation?

3) Could someone list the main steps to go through to fulfil the mentioned concept?

Kind Regards,

Ferdinand.

I don't see why not. Though I must confess that I don't have any domain knowledge about AUTOSAR, ARXML and the XML-like file. It is very possible to take the example (or OSLC4Net itself) and create an OSLC provider or consumer.
2) If it is, am I right, that there is a kind of simplification towards OSLC in this case, for example regarding OSLC ResourceShapes, because AUTOSAR-tools with the ARXML use a standardized data-representation?
You'd map the existing models you have into something that is RDF-based. Shapes gives a provider a way to share what constraints or what the model looks like for creating, editing or getting a resource.

A number of these things have been outlined at http://oslc.co/developer

Basically, outline the scenario and interaction between the tools you want.
Identify from that the pieces that you need to build (provider vs consumer, which specs, which capabilities of specs, ...)
Get to work! Work incrementally, can stub out some stuff or hard-code such as service discover stuff.
Don't let authentication or query syntax parsing wait until too late. This is where the bulk of the time can be spent, so better to attack these are the right time.

Hope that helps,

Steve
